Aleigh & Kasey

These are macro pictures of my two cats. The gray cat is Kasey and the white cat is Aleigh. I was worried that the photos would be blurry since the cats do not sit still. But they came out nice. The giraffe in the center is a statue that I have. I collect giraffes. The giraffe photo, I took with my camera on the super macro setting which is for 2cm or less.

I was wondering, as I was taking these photo's the button on the top of my camera was set on auto. Is this the setting it should be on? My display said it was on the macro setting, but I didn't know where the top button needed to be set.

Week #2 Macro Shots From My Yard

These are some of the pictures I took for our practice with our Macro setting on our camera. These are flowers and leaves I found in my yard. The second picture down on the left is a picture of the mint plants I have in my back yard and the yellow picture is a picture of the textured stained glass window that I have in my bathroom. I took this one because I thought it would be a great way to experiment with taking pictures of texture and not just close ups. I also have more macro pictures I took but they will be included in another post.

Ashley in Albany, NY

This is my daughter Ashley in the red and white at our tournament this weekend in NY. They won all five games over the weekend. There first wins of the season. Their reward was a $150 donation made to the American Cancer Society in their teams name and each of them received a pink t-shirt. It was wonderful.

Crazy Week

Story of my life. Been doing lots of reading on digital photography but have not been posting here as my computer has not had internet for a week. Thought it was the computer but after spending the weekend at a hotel in Albany, NY with my daughter this weekend for a basketball tournament, figure out it was our wireless router. So hope to be up and running now and on here and posting a bit more often.
