Framing Pics

I did my framing pictures at the park at the beach today with my son. I used the different playground equipment and then had my son pose in different places framing both himself and his face. I really like the way it came out, especially the one where he is climbing up through the circles.

Rule Of Thirds Photos

Today I took my youngest son Jacob to North Beach in Burlington. I decided that I would experiment with the different assignements for this week. These two photo's are of my son Jacob in the beach experimenting with the Rule of Thirds. Although I took many more than just these two, I felt these two depicted the composition quite well. The top photo I shot Jacob straight on in the center of my view finder. In the bottom photo I applies the Rule of Thirds and put him where the bottom intersection would be of the lines on my viewfinder and I thought the land in the top right corner intersection really adds beauty to the photo. I was standing in the same spot for both photo's and so was Jacob. I just changed my angle. I by far love the bottom photo better using the Rule of Thirds.

Giraffe

Here is my giraffe at night on the auto setting with the flash. As you can see from the background it is completely dark out. It came out pretty nice for a night time photo.

Monochrome color scheme

This is my monochrome color scheme photo. It has many different hues of gray. The water is darker gray and the sky is a lighter gray.

Panoramic of ocean

This is a picture I took when we went away to our basketball tournament of the ocean horizon. This is my analogous picture. There is tourqoiuse in the foreground beyond the sand and then the water apears to be green in beyond the turqoiuse and then the blue sky. All three colors are next to each other on the color wheel thus creating an analogous photo shot. As you can see I have not used my panoramic setting very much on my camera and so it is not exactly lined up. But this is the one that was the closest of the four I took.
I am not sure I am clear on if this is what is expected for an analogous photo, so I hope this is correct.

Fish tank

This photo was taken with the flash on and although it didn't reflect off the glass like I thought it would it created a yellow tinge to the photo. Not very nice.

Fish Tank

This was my best large object photo. It was tough to photograph my 55 gallon fish tank because I can't move it and so I can only get so many different angles. This photo was taken on the auto setting with my dining room light on and no flash. I set my camera on my dining room table and moved the table around so as not to move the camera and end up with a blurred photo.

Giraffe - inside

This is my giraffe inside with no lights on, only natural light, but on the automatic setting. As you can see the flash reflected a lot and the photo did not come out as well. By far, I think the natural light outdoors produces the best photo.

Giraffe - indoor lighting

This is my giraffe inside my kitchen, during the day with no lights on. The camera was on the natural light setting. It came out ok but not as well as the photo withe the outdoor lighting.

Giraffe rainy day

This was another picture I took of my giraffe statue on the same day, but this time I used the Shutter Priority Mode with an F3 setting. As you can see it didn't come out so well.

Giraffe - Rainy Day/Overcast

I decided to take my pictures in different lighting of my giraffe statue. I took about 20 pictures of my giraffe on different settings with different light. This one is on a rainy, dark day on the natural light setting. This was one of my best photo's on this rainy day. This was last Thursday evening.
